Sweet Adelines International is promoting an organization-wide Global Open House event in January 2012. All Sweet Adelines International choruses will be welcoming guests simultaneously throughout the month of January 2012. TVSC invites you to our open house on TUESDAY, JANUARY 17, 2012 from 7:00pm - 9:45pm (see our flyer on our "Calendar" page)
All over the globe, Sweet Adelines International choruses are joining together to teach the world to sing. Treasure Valley Showtime Chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, an organization of nearly 25,000 women worldwide who sing four-part a cappella harmony, barbershop style.
Our members share a love for music and singing barbershop harmony. As a member, you too can experience the exhilaration of performing and singing with us. Any woman of average singing ability, with or without vocal training, will find a part that fits her voice range with the help of the chorus’ musical leaders and director(s).

"I love this chorus! My job is stressful and there are many Tuesdays when it would be easy to go home and miss rehearsal. But, as soon as I walk in the rehearsal room, the friendships I have in TVSC remind me that this is exactly where I need and want to be! One of my greatest joys is singing bass with Minor Adjustment quartet. I couldn’t ask for better friends than Jerrie, Connie and Linda. We learn from each other and share so much fun together. "The sisterhood of Sweet Adelines is so wonderful. This worldwide family of women will send cards to an unknown sister fighting breast cancer, sympathy cards for a sisters loss of a husband, son, mother, daughter or father. These women will also offer to help a quartet sing on stage after the loss of a member. We are all a part of these amazing women. I am proud to be a member of Sweet Adelines!"

"What Sweet Adeline’s means to me: It means an awful lot to me as evidenced by my driving to Boise every week [from Twin Falls, Idaho, 128 miles away], for the past 11 plus years. I love the camaraderie with my sister singers, also I love to sing, and have since I was a young child. I love all of the singing instructions I have learned from Jerrie and all of the coaching sessions I have had the privilege of participating in. Also I love our director and can’t think of another director I would like as well. I love being a member of Treasure Valley Show Time Chorus and also feel very privileged to be a part of it."

"I joined Treasurer Valley Showtime Chorus after a number of years of formal voice lessons, and I have been very impressed with the quality of vocal instruction in our chorus. If a gal were to ask me where to get voice lessons, I would tell them to join Sweet Adelines. You can't strain your voice, or there are no overtones (called "ringing the chords.") You will learn how to breathe properly, and how to put your song across to your audience. Not only do we make great music in Treasurer Valley Showtime Chorus, we have the nicest groups of ladies. I always feel encouraged and uplifted when I leave chorus."
